A four day instructional sail on the south coast.   Let us know your learning needs and we will develop a package for you. Expect plenty of boat handling, sailing, navigation and pilotage.

What to expect

This is an informal cruise for people of differing ability to develop their skills and experience of yacht sailing. There will be plenty of coastal sea miles covered, and ports visited. With the weather being British, expect anything from bright sunshine and flat seas, to rain and plenty of wind!

We are passionate about getting people sailing and developing their skills. We pride ourselves in creating a friendly, informative and safe environment in which you can nurture your passion. Our skippers are experienced, friendly and approachable, our boats modern and clean.

Hamble Point Marina, near Southampton

Example itinerary

Friday 1 June, from 17.00. Meet your crew at the marina for dinner and safety brief.

Saturday 2 June. Early departure for a long passage west to Dartmouth.

Sunday 3 June. Short passages, pilotage, close quarter sailing and boat handling in Salcombe/Brixham area.

Monday 4 June. Passage east to Weymouth, with more thrills and skills off Portland.

Tuesday 5 June. Early start for a passage east to Hamble.   Disembark at 17.00

Clothing and Equipment

A full kit list will be sent on booking. Sailing waterproofs and boots are available to hire.

Accommodation

This is in shared cabins on board. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. We will be staying overnight in marinas which provide decent toilet and shower facilities.

Food and drink

We are able to cater for most tastes on board. Once a crew is established a menu plan will be circulated. There will also be opportunities to eat ashore if you wish.

£400 per head, excluding meals ashore.
